Letter to PHX Children's Hospital - To Whom It May Concern: We are the Goldfield Gunfighters - a Gunfighting reenactment group that performs out a Goldfield Ghost Town in Apache Junction, Arizona. Like many, we were devastated to hear about the Perry children: Morgan, 9, Logan 8, and Luke, 6 and their father, Shawn Perry, that perished in the plane crash in the Superstition Mtns. on November 23rd. Not only did the tragedy happen in our backyard, but many of our children knew the Perry children. We wanted to do something, so we told the public during our shows at Goldfield that we were donating all the proceeds from Friday Nov. 25- Sunday Nov. 27, 2011 to the PHX Children's Hospital in the name of the three Perry children, Morgan, Luke and Lugan. The public was very generous and we were able to donate $1400.00 in the hope that it helps to save a child's life.  ~ Windy Bill, Goldfield Gunfighters @2011 May they rest in peace.

Dave R. asked via Facebook: Hi guys, I'm Dave from The Boots & Saddles western club in the U.K. I've seen some of your video clips and they are great, could you send me some more so we can use them over here in England. @2011

The British American West Group: If you have interest in the American west, including old west  re-enactment, country music, The American Revolution, The American Civil War, The Indian Wars and other points during the evolution of American nation, then we think you'll find this group worth joining.... And it's free!

Well every now and then I'm taken by surprise by something. About 3 or 4 years ago a few of us at Goldfield were asked if we would be part of a film being made at Goldfield. I figured it was another college film or low budget deal. I have done a few of these and I'm one of those people that really don't care of being on camera or the procedure of being on film. With that being said, we all like to see ourselves in a picture or on film. So I said, "OK what do you need me to do." Along with Preacher, Tumbleweed, Gnarley, Smiling Jack, AJ, Major McGregor, myself and maybe a few others were used in what I would call a Fantastic, Enlightening, Insightful, documentary of the Native American Indian. I was stunned when this CD arrived in the mail and to find how well it was made. With interviews by Clint Eastwood, Graham Green, Russell Means, Jim Jarmusch, John Trudell. We are in the segment of "The Cowboys" between John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. "What an honor" For the most part, we were just goofing off, looking silly and being ourselves. Once I get permission I will try and have copies made.~ Windy Bill @2011

Hi, We are planning a trip from NC and we wondering if the Gunfighters will be at  Goldfield on  Thursday, 4/21.  I know that you all are volunteers and that Saturdays and Sundays are your normal days to come out. Recently, we called Goldfield about making plans and they said that you all often come out on Thursdays and Fridays during this season, but that it’s not a guarantee. If the Gunfighters are not planning to come out on that Thursday, do you know if you they will definitely be there on Sun,, Sat, , or Sun, ? We’d like to purchase our plane tickets ASAP but don’t want to do it until we know which is the best day to see you. Your talents look cool and we’d love to see you! Thanks for your considerations of looking at the schedule, if you can! Gratefully, ~ Poppy P. Charlotte, NC @2011

China sells reenactment clothing and costuming. This is the place to come for your reenactment needs. She has been sewing for over 15 years and has sold at Renaissance Faires for many years. She really enjoys the current Pirate era and the Victorian age. All her garments are made in a smoke-free home and there is great attention to detail. She uses historical patterns and drafts her own patterns using historical guidelines. She takes  great pride in her finished product. Quality is important to her ~ seeing it as making long lasting clothing rather than a costume.
